Customer Advisory Board

The Customer Advisory Board (CAB) is composed of Security and IT Operations leaders from a variety of industries. These customers have real-world expertise in forging security policies, implementing security best practices and guiding the strategic direction and development of Skybox's security risk management solution.

Skybox established the board as a forum to bring together experienced leaders in the field of information security and IT operations to offer objective and actionable insights and advice on shaping the SRM market category and Skybox's product strategy, positioning, programs and strategic roadmap.

Stephen Bonner - Global Head of Information Risk Management, Barclays Group, London

Stephen Bonner is Managing Director forInformation Risk Management (IRM),Barclays Group. In this role, he leads the global information risk team to safeguard the integrity and security of Barclays IT infrastructure, information, and applications. Mr. Bonner is a founder of the Instituteof Information Security Professionals, and a founder and chair of the UK Internet Security Systems user group, as well as chair of numerous Financial Services industry information security groups.  

Mr. Bonner has won several industry awards including: Information Security Magazine “Security Seven” 2006, ISE UKand Ireland“Information Security Project of the Year”, 2008  the SC Magazine “Information Security Person of the Year”, 2009, and the SC Magazine “Information Security Project of the Year”, 2010.  Mr. Bonner is also a judge of the annual SC Magazine awards and Global Security Challenge.

Mr. Bonner holds CISSP, CLAS and SANS GIAC certifications, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics from WarwickUniversity.

Russell Ross – Director of Corporate Information Security, E*Trade Financial

Russell Ross is E*TRADE FINANCIAL's Director of Corporate Information Security responsible for the Company's information security policy development and maintenance, information security training and education, information security risk assessment management, internal and external security audit assessment and access control governance.
 As the first information security professional hired by the company, Ross was instrumental in building a world-class information security program and professional staff. With over 27 years of experience in the information security field, Ross has also held various management positions at Lockheed Martin, Viking Freight Systems and the U.S. Air Force.

Boris Taratine - Senior Security Architect, Bell Canada

Currently, Boris Taratine is a Senior Security Architect at Bell Canada responsible for delivering enterprise level complex innovative security solutions consistent with customer and regulatory requirements. Mr. Taratine has over 20 years experience in information security, spanning over many different industries. As an honor graduate at Saint-Petersburg State University and as part of an international NATO project team during his Ph.D. study, he co-authored five publications and four patents in cutting-edge science. During his career, Boris has worked on a number of programs based on ISO17799/27000, COBIT and PCI as well as defining system security requirements in accordance with NIST, NSA, DOD and CIS standards. Prior to Bell Canada, Mr. Taratine held senior positions at a teaching hospital of the University of Toronto, Sun Media of Quebecor, and Motorola Canada.

Peter Ventura – Senior Vice President, Citi

Preston Wood – Chief Information Security Officer, Zions Bancorporation

As Chief Information Security Officer for Zions Bancoproration, Mr. Wood oversees security architecture and engineering, security operations, and security compliance/assurance objectives for six banks in seven high growth Western markets. Mr. Wood is a veteran information security and IT professional, with over 15 years of hands-on experience in IT and information security roles. He has served in multiple leadership and staff capacities during his career, including Software Engineer, IT Security Auditor, Information Security Engineer, and Vice President of Information Security.

Bill Karunartne – Vice President, Goldman Sachs

Roger Reynolds – Former Manager of Security and Firewall Engineering, Experian

Roger Reynolds was the Manager of Security and Firewall Engineering for Experian, a global information services company, dedicated to helping organizations and consumers make commercial and financial decisions. He is responsible for security analysis, controls, methodology and security controls. He has 32 years of professional IT experience working for multiple fortune 500 companies.

Simon Riggs – Global Head of IT Security, Thomson Reuters

As Thomson Reuters' Global Head of IT Security, Simon Riggs is accountable for ensuring security and service resilience across the Reuters operational domains. In doing so, he makes sure that it is innovative, transparent and driven by the core business goals of trust, immediacy and integrity. Working with his global teams, as well as key trusted external partners, Riggs directs the strategic network security, threat and vulnerability, incident management and security governance agendas. Riggs represents Reuters at the UK Security Service's Critical National Infrastructure Protection Forum.
Riggs is the recipient of Information Security Magazine's annual 2007 Security Seven Award, presented to individuals who have succeeded in guiding large security operations toward unification while keeping some of the world's largest and most sensitive networks safe from harm.
