Technical Training

Overview

To better assist our partners, Skybox has created a suite of certification training classes designed to achieve different levels of product expertise. These sessions provide hands-on, in-depth training for all of Skybox solutions and the level of expertise needed by partners in order to be considered a Certified Skybox Partner.

The training program is appropriate for all partner types including: Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP), System Integrators (SI), Value Added Resellers (VAR), Distributors, and Security Consulting firms.

 

Classes Offered

Skybox provides its partners with the following training classes. Each class can be presented through a web-based training session or in-person.  A ‘Certification of Completion’ will be provided at the conclusion of each class.

Skybox Certified Sales Consultant – This class will introduce the sales consultant to the Skybox platform of solutions including and how they integrate with existing network solutions, the solutions’ benefits to the end-user, differentiators, and how to overcome objections.

Skybox Firewall Assurance/Network Assurance Certified Engineer – In this class engineers will learn how to implement and use the solutions to define access policies, complete firewall and network analysis, perform change assurance and what-if analysis, and generate reports and tickets.

Skybox Risk Control Certified Engineer - In this class engineers will learn how to implement and use the solutions to perform security modeling, risk exposure analysis, run attack simulation, manage threat alerts, and generate reports and tickets.

Skybox CertiFire Certified Sales Consultant – This class will provide a CertiFire solution overview, present firewall management key drivers, discuss the competitive landscape, and provide an in-depth product demonstration.

 

Prerequisites

  • Basic networking and security knowledge; knowledge of Windows Server and/or UNIX; experience with TCP/IP and the Internet.
  • Attendees are required to bring their own laptops to class. Windows® or Red Hat® Linux with 2GB of RAM, 2GB of disk space is required for the hands-on exercises.
  • Each training class session includes training materials for all attendees.
