Business Development Director

The business development director will oversee the building of key business initiatives with strategic partners including global OEMs, large service providers, MSSPs and cloud providers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and evangelizing new revenue streams on a sell-to and sell-through model with key OEM, SI/MSSP and cloud partners in the North American market.

This role will report to VP Business Development and will enlist the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, PM resources and other technical and management resources as needed.


  • Identify and target market opportunities where Skybox could generate major revenue streams through key OEM/MSSP/SI partners
  • Create strategic relationships with key people in the target partner accounts for maximizing the joint GTM and revenue potential
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales activities and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts
  • Proactively lead a joint GTM planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones associated with a productive TAP/partner relationship
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address end user needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel
  • Identify, target and close joint OEM/GTM agreements with key target partners/TAPs
  • Drive adoption and execution of the OEM/GTM activities among the partner and Skybox field teams
  • Complete partner account plans that meet company standards
  • Maintains high partner satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame



  • Deep knowledge of the industry and the North American SI, business consulting and MSSP market (i.e., Verizon, BT, Booz Allen, E&Y, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture, SecureWorks)
  • Experience with developing technology and business alliances with global OEM’s and cloud providers
  • At least 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity market
  • Strong technical and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinking and creative business development mind
  • Ability to evangelize new technologies and ideas and to convert them to sales opportunities
  • This role requires extensive travel
