Senior Director, Global Professional Service

Skybox is looking for a Senior Director, Global Professional Services (PS).  In this role you will have full responsibility for PS delivery across Skybox Security's global customer base. You will assume responsibility for the existing PS team and provide leadership for the delivery of consulting, deployment and training services for all customers. In this role you will also be working closely with Skybox’s Partners on joint projects to ensure successful deployment of a Skybox solution. You will report to our VP, Customer Care. 

As a leader, you will advise, coach and lead the professional services engineers and project management teams on project delivery, solution development and deployment. You will drive our team to provide a world-class service, ensure high customer satisfaction throughout their journey, while running the group like a business. You will also manage customer expectations, while keeping projects on track, and motivating the PS team members to do their best work. The Senior Director of Professional Services is a critical position to our company, and will be both tactical and strategic in duties. You will build strong connections with customers, and with other teams in the company including ; Customer Success, Sales and R&D, as well as partners to ensure a successful adoption of the Skybox Security solutions.


Requirements : 

  • Manage and build our Global PS, training and project management delivery teams of more than [25] individuals located around the globe, while ensuring high satisfaction level of our customers 
  • Engagement Delivery Leadership - includes relationship management with our customers, management of all projects through our project managers and implementation and monitoring of project financials to ensure project efficiency
  • Practice Development - requires taking ownership of all aspects of building and supporting the expansion of PS delivery practices; communicating customer feedback and business needs. This includes helping to make key successful hires, mentoring staff and making contributions required to create a steady foundation for the continued development of the practice
  • Utilization – drive efficient use of all delivery team resources so that team utilization goals are attained while driving customer satisfaction
  • Facilitate and participate in the pre-sales process and statement of work preparation for large complex opportunities. Work closely with the sales team during the sales process to learn about specific customer needs and concerns that can be quickly addressed
  • Develop Services strategy and organize team efforts while meeting and exceeding organizational goals
  • Maintain and develop training content for customers and partners using internal and external resources 
  • Provide team managers mentorship and direction in the development of key personnel and maintain high levels of employee engagement
  • Engage with senior sales leadership to determine and align practice activities and sales engagement to prioritized sales programs and promotions
  • Working with the appropriate Product Management and Engineering/Development teams to help integrate Professional Services into the new product introduction processes in both product scoping and field readiness phases


You will need :

  • 5+ years of experience in running a Global PS organization for enterprise software businesses; manage multiple projects simultaneously, that include deployment, configuration, integration and training
  • Strong experience in building and running a PS organization team of engineers and project managers, serving large enterprises and government agencies
  • 15+ years of experience in professional services work in the IT space. Familiarity with networking and cyber security solutions – a major plus
  • Proven experience in developing and rolling out delivery methodologies that focus on customer satisfaction, time-to-value, and operational readiness
  • Experience in running end user and partner training practice
  • Strong experience in running PS like a business, including implementing business and operational metrics that drive customer satisfaction, while hitting gross margin and productivity targets
  • Successful experience in integrating PS team into pre-sales work for statement of work and architecture design
  • Strong business analytical acumen, proven delivery success in complex project implementations, hands-on operational experience, and outstanding leadership credentials
  • Excellent communicator in-person, on the phone, through email and over web presentations
  • Track record of building strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and history of building trusting relationships with PS delivery teams, Engineering teams, Sales, and Service delivery partners
  • BA/BS degree in technical domain
