Important Update on Skybox Security in light of COVID-19

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread worldwide, there is no higher priority for Skybox® Security than the health, security, and safety of our community. To that end, we want to personally update everyone on the steps we’re taking to address business continuity and service delivery.

The situation around COVID-19 seems to be changing by the hour. Here at Skybox, we want to be proactive and adaptive in our response ensuring that our employees, customers and partners stay safe. We’re monitoring this evolving situation closely, and we’ve already enacted several measures across our business to ensure complete service delivery and health of our community.

  • Business Continuity Plan

Skybox is committed and prepared to address the evolving business risks posed by COVID-19. We have a comprehensive business continuity plan (BCP) and, specifically, a plan and crisis leadership team responsible for plan implementation. The team includes executive leadership and representation from each region, as well as each functional area in our organization including account management, sales, business operations, communications, facilities management, human resources and IT.

Throughout our planning and preparedness activities, our actions are aligned to the level of threat, the level of impact and potential for escalation specific to each region.

  • Workforce Resilience

Keeping our operations running is critical. Given our mobility culture, telecommuting practices are part of normal business operations. We currently leverage a range of best-of-breed technologies for secure content collaboration, video communication, messaging, secure identity and other critical cloud tools to deliver uninterrupted remote work for all employees. Out of an abundance of caution during COVID-19, we’re supporting employees, regardless of office location, to do their work remotely.

We have long recognized the potential risks to our obligations associated with service interruptions due to adverse events, such as an earthquake, power outage or a public health crisis like COVID-19. Therefore, we have had a business continuity program in place to provide the policies and plans necessary for protecting Skybox’s operations and critical business functions.

  • Infrastructure Resilience and Reliability

We leverage multiple, geographically diverse datacenters, as well as public cloud partners to deliver our service. This diversity in infrastructure partners gives us flexibility if supply chains are disrupted in an extended crisis. Our network and security operation centers are also managed in multiple, geographically diverse sites globally, ensuring complete resilience of our systems. In addition, Skybox has a secure resiliency plan in place to protect data and applications while maintaining the integrity of our customers’ data.During this COVID-19 outbreak we’ve initiated our business continuity plans as a precaution, ensuring core business functions and technology are fully operational and to avoid potential disruption.
